My lovely friend Izzy who lives in London has spotted one of my Hampton Court posters on the underground and kindly sent me a photograph!
See pictures below of the final artwork and the work in situ.

school workshop

Last week I attended Hartburn Primary School to do a drawing workshop with the Year 1 class.
Myself and small groups tackled the infamous self portrait!

There was some brilliant drawings from some very enthusiastic pupils.
Also to honour the jubilee weekend we had a go at drawing the queen too, one lucky group even got to do theirs outside in the sunshine!

Hampton Court Palace commission!

So finally I can tell you all about the fantastic project I’ve been working on recently with the lovely design agency Steers McGillan Eves.

I was commissioned by the Historic Royal Palaces, who are the governing body responsible for conserving the five historic royal palaces: Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace,  Banqueting House, Kensington Palace and Kew Palace, to produce an illustration for Hampton Court Palace’s summer ad campaign around London.

The brief was to make a crown from all the exciting things that will be happening at the palace and in the gardens over the summer and Queen’s jubilee holiday. It was the perfect way to get me all built up for the jubilee weekend!

See the finished illustration below, more pictures coming soon.

Henry VIII

So it’s been a while since I’ve blogged, unfortunately the work I’ve been doing is being kept under lock and key for another week, so stay tuned. Until then a cheeky work in progress drawing I’ve done of Henry VIII – such a serious man!

Snowman in spring!

I’ve been working on a super exciting project, unfortunately I can’t publish it until the final piece is finished.

In the meantime I’ve been have more fun working on some more designs with my agent Bright Art Licensing for Surtex. Here are some of my Christmas card designs.
